Bike Theft Issues

When I was happily enjoying my coffee in the Jurong East Regional Library, I cant help but to notice something that really caught me eyes all the time : bicycles. But this time, a bicycle with nothing else but only a wheel left. YES DUDE, just one wheel, no frame, no pedals, no saddle.

It's very obvious. The bicycle was stolen. Sad to see that happening in Singapore. Supposedly one of the city in the world that has the lowest crime rate.

I have found some interesting guides as to how to lock your bicycle but I will Update them in a later blogpost. It is just too inconvenient for me to blog a complete and informative guide using my iPhone.

Teban Gardens Hao Chu Seafood Restaurant

I've blogged quite a few times about fish noodle soups in Singapore. It's really something so refreshing and aromatic that I cannot find in North Malaysia !

Today's main focus is the Fish Noodle Soup from Hao Chu Seafood Restaurant located in Teban Gardens Road. For $4.50 this is what I get :

I have to admit. $4.50 for this kind of wholesome delicious meal is seriously a marvelous deal ! The amount of fish given is very generous and remember we are talking about seabass/siakap here, not your cheapo dory fish fillet ! Yes, solid chunky juicy siakap fillet. If you like some good flavor from some alcohol, XO Fish Noodle Soups are available for $6.00. For me, another $1.50 doesn't really boost up the flavor. I'd rather spend that on my kopi instead.

Be sure to try out their food when you are in Jurong East/West Coast Area !

Goodbye my iPhone..

Sigh finally after 350 days.. It's time to let this iPhone go home. Not that it's 100 faulty even after my intense usage of it, I just want to take good advantage of my 1 year free warranty policy.

The only problem I face with this iPhone is the low response from the home button. The rest works fine, especially the battery !

This iPhone has gone through 2 exams with me, helped me conquered RAG as the Chairperson easily. I fought with Hallmasters, Hall Presidents, JCRCs and even NUSSU's pint-sized President, all using my iPhone. Thanks a lot iPhone, it's been a great journey with you. Your replacement set will come to me roughly in 2 hours time when I reach VivoCity's Starhub. Sad to say but our time of parting is here.

Goodbye and may you get refurbished in Foxconn and serve another master faithfully.

Bak Kut Teh

Singapore's Pepper Soup Bak Kut Teh. Definitely more meat than what we have in Malaysia because pork is so expensive in Malaysia !

Cycling Culture in the National University of Singapore

The bicycles in NUS are rare. Reason is fairly simple. It could have been the most hilly university in the world ! The Kent Ridge Campus is built on literally Kent Ridge, which is a series of higher elevations around Clementi/Dover/Pasir Panjang area.

Recently the university admin decided to build a cycling track around the University Town, a multi-million(or billion) campus extensions. Well honestlt I like that, despite the hilly slopes its a great avenue to train some thigh sexiness. However, something stupid has also been implemented by them. Once you reach the main campus through the flyover, they blocked the bicycle pathway ! Come on how silly is that ?! I don't have the photo today but definitely I'll post that one day.

Meanwhile, here are picture(s) of cool bicycle found in the Kent Ridge Campus of National University of Singapore(NUS) :

Tern Link D8

This babe is a sure beauty. She's not mine though. Belongs to my girlfriend but this little beast cost S$930 but then again it comes with a good five years warranty and the specs are really really good !

Today we are going to carry it up the MRT and go all the way to East Coast Park. Cool right? Carry your bike up the train is something legal here in Singapore OMG thanks LTA !

Will give you folks a nice complete report of the good things we have done :) cheero and as always, haben Sie ein Guten Tag.

So am I a rebellious person ?

Was reading an article from Cult of Mac, saying that the iPhone and the iPad is the tool used by those who brings out "the man" in you. Those who will go against the authority and those who will bow to no one. Well, I'm not sure whether I'm those kind of person hah !

But the article do make a simple joke about those who are clad in suits, used Blackberry and Windows laptop. Well perhaps what's holding me off is the Windows laptop!

Well Apple, if you build me a MacBook Pro with Retina Display seriously I would switch to Mac ! Just fire the shot babe !

p/s : I ran out of ideas on what to rant about so here you go : My favourite clear fish soup from Teban Garden Market :)

I must say the soup is super nice. Uncle said he cooked the soup overnight with fish bones and "mang kuang" haha ! Awesome stuff.

The "kopi ping" is from the uncle next store. Funny Ah Pek. He dyed his hair like a blonde star and is always whistling when he is brewing his stuff !! I bet the thing that made his coffee extra smooth is his tunes ! Best of all, he called me "handsome" instead of "小弟" used by other uncles and aunties in hawker centre !!! And it only cost me $0.90 :) best iced coffee deal !

Gloomy Day

What kind of shit day is today? Woke up late. Lecture late. Lecture content is mindfocking. Weather sucks. And I smell like shit.

This part is written at the end of the day :

Well, it turns out that it wasn't that bad haha ! Lab was OK although it was a shitty 6 hours non-stop stupid marathon. At the end of the day I even have good food like NUS The Frontier's Ayam Penyet rice !

MagicShine 1500 Lumen Light

Awesome bike light here. Wide angle and projects far enough. The only bad point is the price. Well, RM350 is a big price to pay for decent lighting on a road.

With the lights off. 3 bulbs are available and the big one in the middle is for projectory, the two small ones are for width.

Lights ON babe !
